Update Jan 2024
Medicines containing ≤ 0.1% codeine previously were classified as P1 and could be sold by ASPs without the requirement of being recorded in the P1S1 book. From Jan 26 2024, this was changed and all codeine preparations apart from those which are P1S1S3 are to be regulated as P1S1, there will no longer be a P1 classification for low strength codeine preparations.
I will still leave the previous answers to the past tutorials of before 2024 up, but just add this note to the top of the old answers.
