Introduction
This tutorial goes through the Pharmacy Practice December 2018 past paper.
It is a mixture of calculations, clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics.
I provide suggested model answers for all the questions, as well as additional CPD information for your study.
You may want to challenge yourself by doing the questions yourself first before looking at my answers.
Try and really nail the calculations because they are often repeated each exam so can be answered fairly quickly and are worth one fifth of the exam paper.
Some of the answers may be more detailed than necessary for the exam.
Use the mark allocation of each question as a guide to how detailed your answer needs to be.
I spent some time on the question on insulin, insulin is an important drug which a lot of pharmacists don't seem to know that much about so I hope this helps.
I had some help on the antibiotics question from my sister Dr Lydia Tang.
References with links are provided, I recommend you check them out, some of them will be useful for further studying.
I have no affiliations with the PPB, PSHK or DOH.
Beyond the topics covered in this and the other tutorials please try to ensure you cover the other areas listed on the PPB website.
You can contact me via the FB group if you have any comments or want to give me any feedback.
Best wishes for your studies and exams,
